November 18

I worked on my article for 3 hours today. Didn't write one word but I know I killed a tree in printing lit review material. The lit review is done but I can't seem to leave it alone and once I get searching in the databases, I am trapped! I am banning myself from entering the library databases until the article is done. The good thing is that I have decided on the journal and can now move on with the formatting.

Back on the Wagon

I confess, I did not work on my project yesterday, even though I thought about it several times :P I teach 3 classes on MWF from 9 -2 and any free time was interrupted by students needing advisement or wanting help with their projects. I am going to re-think times on those days. Today I wrote for 30 minutes. I find that once I get my computer out of its case, set up and sit in front of it, I have to stop myself from writing. Its as though, once I get going, I could go for hours. But I am trying to keep it in small chunks so I don't burn out. Its like the tortoise and hare. Slow and steady......does something good, can't remember the rest :)

Day 1

Well, my goal was to start at 11:00! After successfully procrastinating until around noon, I finally got started! I tentatively picked a target journal, but may change because it is pretty high level :P I polished the abstract and part of the intro and then got snagged in data analysis........ it is now 1:30 and I can't look at it any more!

First Project

My first project consists of completing a journal article dealing with entrepreneurial orientation and global mindset of Indian managers in small and medium sized firms. I am particularly interested in the impact of these characteristics on foreign sales. My dissertation focused on these characteristics in American managers and now I am looking at Indian managers. I have all of my data from India. Its all entered into SPSS. I have the paper finished down to the methodology section. Its a matter of cleaning it up and submitting it :P

I will work on it from 2:00 - 2:15 on MWF and 11:00 - 11:15 on TH :)
